oh snap

Wow I am so behind on LJ it's not even funny.

So I went to SakuraCon (anime con in Seattle) this weekend so I'm like 5 days behind on everything because of getting ready and just being there. I have to say, this was probably the best one I've been to yet. We were so busy too! We didn't get to attend any panels, but there weren't really any good panels this year, cept we should have gone to Zap Brannigan's panel XD

So Tabs, my friend Lara and I were a group who went around together this year. I was Roxy Lalonde from Homestuck day 0, then also until about 4pm on Friday, then I changed into my god tier Aradia costume, complete with wings. Lara was WV, and after 4, Tabs took my Roxy costume for the photoshoot. Saturday, we were an Assassin's Creed group: I was Altair, Tabs was Malik, and Lara was a Templar/Maria Thorpe. I had an apple of eden and omg it was the best cosplay prop ever. A bunch of people asked to take closeup shots of it, and also complimented us on the fabric choices for our cosplays (we made the whole things ourselves). Sunday Lara decided to go to easter brunch with her family (because they have lots of wine!) and I went to the con to dork around as Roxy, and Tabs was Shaun from AC2.

I think the reason we had so much fun was everyone was so chill and fun, and we met a group of AC2 multiplayer cosplayers that were just insanely awesome. We were walking in the exhibition hall Friday, and I pointed at a guy and said "Prowler!" and he was so excited that I recognized who he was cosplaying XD We bummed around with him a few times, then met the rest of the group the next day and went around with them and had drinks and such. They were all very cool and we're all thinking about doing a group cosplay for PAX or SakuraCon 2013.

I think my favorite cosplay was probably the simplest one. There were some gorgeous elaborate ones, but my favorite has to go to the blind girl who was cosplaying Terezi. She was utterly fabulous and was telling people how excited she was that there was a character she could cosplay that was just like her. It wasn't just that, she actually had a perfect damn outfit, hair, horns and prop of a scalemate with a noose. She was also eating chalk which made me die laughing. And she had the most amazing smile ever.

Okay going to end this wordy post with how glad I am we met some awesome people and had such a fun time. Tons of people took our pictures, but I have yet to find group shots of us as the AC trio :( Time to go digging for more today!

tfios and patient zero

So last night was fun, and not so fun, all in one!

Heard that a coworker was super sick (we're calling her Patient Zero because she seems to have infected multiple people) and had a tickle in my throat, so before I went out in the morning, I made sure I had lozenges just in case. They came in handy!

I ran around town picking up things here and there. Mostly small things to finish off some Homestuck cosplays I'm planning for Sakuracon. I finally found a decent tutorial for the troll God Tier wings so I got fabric for that, some fabric paint, and then a Roxy wig. After I got home I had summat to eat and then [info]shinigamitabris and I left for the John Green signing event in Bothell.

The event was super fun! I knew as soon as I started sipping on my tea though, that I was getting sick. We had to wait outside in a line for about half an hour I think before they let us in. The event was about 1.5-2 hours, and then we had to wait for our group to be called for the signing. We were group M, so we had a while to wait. The event itself was great. I actually forgot I wasn't feeling the greatest since John and Hank were so fun and funny. I was worried tabs wouldn't like Hank's songs, but she really seemed to enjoy the whole thing :D I really liked John's speaking and the things he talked about too :)

After it ended, we waited. Thank god the place we were at had food vendors just waiting for the lines. I got some waffle fries, which were really tasty, but then my body was like U NOT FEELIN GOOD REMEMBER? and I realized I was getting worse and had to find a quiet place to call out from work. By the time they called M, I was just so tired. We got in line and when we got to the front, John was being goofy as always, and recognized someone from tumblr and said to Hank "it's so and so from the internet" and I love hearing that kind of thing XD When he took my books, I asked him to write that I was made of awesome, but I was clearly too quiet, because he answered as if I told him he was made of awesome, and said that I was too, which makes up for it XD Then I had Hank hanklerfish my copy of TFIOS and we headed home.

It's really a good thing I called out because I didn't wake up til like ...actually, the first time I remember a set time on the clock was 11. I think I woke up randomly at 8am too. I kind of drifted in and out of consciousness this afternoon til about 5 when I started feeling better. I actually just finished a huge bowl of soup, so I'm happy about that :D

I really want to play some Silent Hill, but I don't want really weird nyquil induced dreams tonight >__>;

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaand scene.

So I had the most loltastic dream this morning. I'll just write about the end, because the middle was boring and all I did was basically try to find Looking for Alaska for a jaded teen who won't read anything unless its 'good.'

Let's carry on.

In my dream, I think the group of us who had been in LA sans [info]readyforever and Chelsea. So we were traipsing around a city, I'm going to say LA but totally different looking area, so probably a construct of LA in my mind. We hear about a party that Yunho's doing for his birthday and for some reason, anyone can get in if they're dressed nice. So we all, as a joke, get little black strappy dresses and go to this party thing and get in. Well, we find out people can come in dressed nice in jeans too so, whatever.

We get there halfway through the party and just sit down in chairs they have set up, because I suppose Yunho's cool with totally sharing his birthday with fans. He's like that. But for some reason Tabs and Twinnie keep talking really loud, and I think its rude, so I bop them with some program we were given and Tabs gets super mad at me til I point out that NO ONE ELSE IS TALKING (which is weird because she'd never do that irl). So we all whisper super quiet from that point on.

And then Yunho decides to sing. And walk through the 'audience.' This seems dumb at first, but clearly everyone has been mentally screened because they all stay sitting and don't grab him. Tabs and I are gigglefitting because, well, we love Yunho, but we show it through making fun of him. Really, we do love him! But we were impressed because Yunho sang a really lovely song, LOW. Not that nasally crap he tends to do. It sounded very nice in my dream. Impressive, brain. Anyway, apparently Yunho thinks we're like shy!giggling, so he comes over. I have my legs up on the chair in front of me and he thinks it'll be hilarious if it touches my leg and then sweeps off. And I'm like LOL YOUR OPPAR TOUCHED MY LEG and we all sort of lose it.

He comes over after the end of the song and is like, oh you think you're funny, you know, in a fun joking manner. And I don't know what banter was exchanged, but he suggested that he should have touched my leg more sensually and actually rests his entire hand on my leg. Me, being nonchalant about Yunho to begin with, just grab his face and kiss him, to imply that 'lol you didn't go far enough at all!' After the kiss, he kinda grins to himself and walks off. And all I can think is LULZ ELISE JUST KISSED YOUR OPPAR. WATCHU GONNA DO ABOUT IT???? LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

Anyway, I woke up laughing after that and had to share. Comments? Crits? Should I make it into a Mary-Sue fic? If so, whose name should I use? Or do I do second person POV? YOU DECIDE!!!!

So flist

We had fun today

If you don’t know already, I live in the Seattle area and we’re getting dumped on with snow and sleet. This makes life interesting because god forbid they put enough sand down on the roads for EVERYONE to get around. Oh, and everyone lives on hills so they can’t drive >__>

I finally got my roommate out of the apt today and we walked 20 min to the Factoria area to get a Starbucks (holy shit every seat was taken lol) and then leisurely strolled over to a KFC a few blocks away. Mmmmmm fattening chicken and sides ♥♥♥♥

2 pics )

We then tottered over to Target, picked up deodorant and soda (lol can’t make that shit up) and then went back home. On the way there it transitioned from sleet to snow and has been snowing ever since.

2 more pics )

I then took about 45 min to clean off my car which had 1/4 inch of ice with 1/2 inch of sleet on top of that, then a bunch of snow. It was fun :D

>> turn around

Hello again flist. Sorry I haven't been updating, I just never know what to type, but I'll try to keep up from now on. It just might not be here.

Over the recent hullabaloo with the lj practices, I made a dw for kicks and had fun screwing with the colors. Haven't updated it yet, but probably will today :) I have the same name on there, so go ahead and add me if you like :)

Since my last update, I have done a lot of things!

Assassin's Creed! I've beaten all 4 games, and the DLCs. Still not interested in the multiplayer though. I made a very annoyed rant on tumblr about how the newest game disappointed me. I don't want to spoil you flist, if you are going to play it, but let's just say there really was no last boss. And I feel they wasted money on the multiplayer instead of the storyline of the single player campaign.

We have a cat! )

I started reading Homestuck. As if you couldn't tell from my halloween post. Oh gog no, she's reading Homestuck. Whatever. If you don't like Homestuck, I really don't mind :) Tabs isn't into it, but she loves the music, and so do I. I started reading it on a whim to be honest. I kept seeing people cosplaying it and tried reading it once and was like, 'this is crap' and went to do something else. I think I then saw friends on tumblr reblogging stuff and gave it another try. I have to be honest and say I'm really impressed by the depth of the storyline and how complicated it gets with the time travel aspect mixed with the scratch's multiple universes. I was also impressed by how well each character has their own way of speaking and flaws. I really liked that they stayed true to their own character. Gonna stay with this one for a while, because I enjoy laughing at people who take it way too seriously. I also like that the creator Hussie takes making it seriously, but doesn't take himself or his fans seriously. Makes for an interesting mix :)

sorry about that big swath of characters. tl;dr i like homestuck.

Thanksgiving was fun! Spent the night at [info]Kat's place then [info]shinigamitabris joined us for Thanksgiving which was awesome. We did puzzles and had turkey and played some AssCreed because Kat's brother was playing my copy of Brohood :) We also got a TON of leftovers from Kat's mom which was ridic but awesome.

Christmas was crazy and I spent the night after work sleeping because I was dead tired. Tabs went to a ...I guess cocktail party? haha, it was for people who didn't have families to spend the holiday with, and that were science minded I believe, so she had lots of fun having conversations and being intellectual there XD I, on the other hand, enjoyed sleeping.

New years was great! We spent the night over at Kat's place and watched all three episodes of Sherlock, which were fantastic. We also watched the Space Needle blow up as usual. The music sucked and the fireworks are never really long enough. Their 'space theme' was kinda crap. Kat and Tabs spent the second half of the display discussing Star Trek XD

Yesterday, being the first, we got up and drove up north to the Tsubaki Shrine for our first shrine visit of the year. Kat hadn't been there, so we were excited to take her. Last year there was snow, but this year it wasn't nearly as cold, thankfully. We went through the blessing and also got charms. I got a bracelet, the pink suisyo though it was really hard to choose. I dislike that it emphasizes on love in the description, but I got it for the creativity/artistic aspect :)

After the shrine visit we went shopping and I got sunglasses, which I desperately needed, and the guy who rang me up was very helpful. Tabs got boots and Kat mainly just watched lol ^^;

And I think that's it for now. Feel free to friend me on dw if you wish. Not sure if I'll be posting here much, past reading. And all I really do on here is read your updates and then get news from the comms.

Halloweenstuck?

Hello LJ. How have you been? I've been reading, but too lazy to update.

Today [info]vanilla_klise and I went out in our costumes and traipsed around for fun. I wasn't sure if anyone would recognize me, because I decided to use my cosplay outfit for God Tier Aradia, from Homestuck, as my Halloween costume. I actually ran into a Dave Strider! I was shocked and asked to take a pic with her ^_^

Afterward, we wandered around the mall, had dinner, and then came back to my place and watched Rifftrax Twilight. Many giggles were had. It was a good Halloween :D

what. the. fuck.

So I just had a dream that I worked in a Wal-mart and two guys came up and asked me for stuff. One wanted a copy of Programming Interviews Exposed and I was like uh Wal-mart doesnt carry that and asked me to check a computer to make sure, so I agreed. Second guy, who was dressed like Ezio (maybe we were near PAX?), decided to just follow and tell me what he wanted after I finished with the programmer geek. I get to computers to find out that idiots have hacked them to their own wants, which is to say that apparently they were all TVXQ fans who made all the links go to pictures and info about each of the five guys. I had an intense amount of dislike for TVXQ fans at that moment in my dream (NO ONE CARES IF YOUR OPPA IS WEARING SOCKS FOR THE FIRST TIME IN THIS PHOTOSHOOT OMG).

Searching, I find a La Volpe guarding another computer, and I was like "ohai, are you with Ezio?" and they waved at each other and grinned. Kept searching to find a girl let me use the computer she was on and find out she's an Assassin, just making sure there's a useful computer.

...then i woke up. My dreams when I'm sick are SO WEIRD.

it's been how long?

So, in the time since I last posted, I've started playing Prototype (slowly because I'm slow like that), and beaten all of the Assassin's Creed games (WITH NO HELP FROM ROBERT DE SABLE, OMG I HATED TRYING 10 TIMES AND THEN RANDOMLY THE LAST TIME ALTAIR JUMPS ON HIM AND STABS). I am now so deep in the AssCreed fandom, it's not even--oh wait, it IS funny XD And fun! I love how jovial and all around hilarious all the fans are, so cool with making fun of the characters and themselves, it's just all around funtimes. I am actually floored by how spread out the amazing artists are and happy to see so many fans of the series around the world showing how much they enjoyed it as well. Out of sheer boredom, I made an AssCreed Daily meme to do on tumblr and it was reblogged like nobody's business :D People are so lovely.

Tabs and I will be attending Sakura-Con 2012 in April, as what else but Assassin's Creed characters 8D hopefully on Friday I'll be Alex Mercer (Prototype) and she'll be Desmond (AC). Then on Saturday, I'll be Altair and she'll be Malik, with our friend Lara as our Maria/Templar to chase us around and do funny pictures with. We're actually getting really excited about it. Lara's mom and sister do SCA stuff and have patterns for the outfits we want to do, so that will come in handy. We also found the PERFECT boots at DSW the other day and all got a pair XD;; I actually think my gray pants will work for the cosplay, but we'll see :3

What else... I finished Looking for Alaska by staying up til 3am one night just so I could finish in one sitting because I COULDN'T PUT THE DAMN BOOK DOWN. UGH. Damn you John Green. I also read Leviathan and Behemoth by Scott Westerfeld and am eagerly awaiting Goliath which will be out next month I believe, and praying to god it's a trilogy so I won't have to wait for another XD;

I am also teaching myself CSS and starting to understand it more. And still writing of course, but what's new.

Oh and I got into Pottermore! but I don't have the account setup email yet so I haven't been able to go in and get sorted and stuff yet, but I found the damn quill! XD

AND I WISH I WAS IN JAPAN RIGHT NOW TO SEE THIS AC ART GALLERY ;-;

all i ever seem to do on here anymore is rant >:|

I hadn't been to the library in so long that my library card for the Seattle area had been deactivated >>; That has been remedied 8D

I overheard something today while I was there though that interested me. There were a number of teens on the first floor doing tutoring and such and so while I was browsing the teen section to find something to read that I couldn't check out at my store, I overheard a boy telling I think two others something (I'm not sure, I didn't look, just listened).

He was asking another guy (tutoring? not sure) about how he wanted to write, and then gave him the advice that if he wanted to write a certain way, he had to read that certain way, to get his mind used to that type of writing, so that he could also get himself into being used to writing that way as well. I found it good advice.

I decided to try out some new games and found myself unimpressed. I think I've been completely spoiled by the richness of texture in FFXIII and Assassin's Creed that playing other games makes me gag. I tried to go back and play A Bard's Tale and found the pacing so slow that I turned off the PS2 after maybe an hour? I then tried out Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion and found myself wishing it had the depth of scenery that FFXIII did (SEE? SPOILED).

So then I'm like, hell, why not try out Arkham Asylum since I borrowed it from my brother and the game has like a 9/10 on like every review. Kind of regretting picking the easy setting on the game. I personally think I'm really terrible at gaming, but after beating 3 AC games and a handful of others, I might not be so bad anymore. I'm assuming the pacing was a bit slow because I picked the easy setting, or the entire first 5% of the game is just a tutorial on how to use Batman's arsenal. I'm actually sad that the game isn't more creepy. The art is fantastic and lol I love Mark Hamill, but I'm not sure if I want to play more. We'll see. I guess I'm just not a huge Batman nerd :/

I still have Alan Wake and Dead Rising to try out. I really REALLY wanted to play inFamous, but FUCK THAT because it's only on PS3 >:| *cuddles XBawks* But I'm seriously considering going to grab a copy of Prototype because apparently that one is fantastic too.

Tlist I really want Silent Hill 2 and 3 in my collection. *siiiigh* :/

Oh and I finished An Abundance of Katherines by John Green and it was cute.

i'm going to shut up eventually. really.

I finished reading the Night Angel Trilogy by Brent Weeks while on the plane back to Seattle. I really quite liked the series and am thinking about rereading it for a better look at it. I found myself skipping over fight scenes the first time through because all I wanted to know was the outcome XD Yes, I am a terrible person.

I got about 100 pages from the end, I was like, There is NO WAY this guy is going to tie up all these separate characters' stories in 100 pages, and fuck, he did it. I was actually impressed and amused how well/easily it came together. You clearly have to have the end really thought out from the beginning of book one or else this shit wouldn't have worked. I don't want to spoil anything, but when I got to the end, I was like wtf, it just ends? And then I remembered like 5 pages before the last bit, someone told someone else exactly what would happen with the surviving characters, which was actually useful because you don't have to sit through a handful of LotR cut scene endings for everyone, just one character.

Like I said, I rather enjoyed the entire trilogy and will probably sit down and read it again (ONCE I HAVE FINISHED THE TWO JOHN GREEN BOOKS I HAVEN'T READ) and give it a more thorough thrashing. The only thing that was actually difficult with the books was the beginning. It took me two tries to get into it, and only because the main character's life as a child was so goddamn depressing. Once you got past that shit and into his training (lol it's not a surprise, get over it), the story had a better pace and it was interesting watching characters making particular decisions. The author also had a decent sense of humor and I found myself giggling at parts. Probably the wrong parts seeing as its me, but whatever. The end of the first book was like a rockslide though. No, really, ROCKS FALL AND EVERYONE DIES. You're just sitting there reading everyone getting picked off. It's like watching Game of Thrones in fast forward. Okay, not really, since I've never watched it, but rocks do fall. A lot.

In other news, I have finished AC: Brohood. Heard about the ending by accident and was still like WTF. And WHY WITH THE PLATFORMING AS A 'BOSS' WITH A LADY YELLING AT ME THE WHOLE TIME WHEN I SUCK AT PLATFORM JUMPING. Also, initiating the part at the cathedral/notorious area thingy in the north in Sequence 8 will lead you into going straight through to the end without a button to hit DECLINE. I had to wait until I went through everything and beat the boss to reload Ezio to go find the last Subj 16 clue and watch the ending. Also, omfg aren't the Subj 16 rifts CREEPY???? I got to like the 7th or 8th one where there's a clip about a guy calling his cable company and was like COMPLETELY CREEPED OUT. Just, omg. Whoever designed those did an AMAZING job. I'm hoping Desmond's mind cave thing is just as creepy with more puzzles. The puzzles are my favorite part.

But wtf, I saw there were like 8 Cristina missions and only managed to find 3. Whaaaat am I missing????

Am sorely mad about the Altair plotline for Revelations because I accidentally read the entire thing by looking up the name Abbas, that someone mentioned in a post about Altair. I was like, who the hell is Abbas, and looked him up to see which NPC he was that I probably ran into (literally) a bunch of times in Masyaf. If you want to stay in the dark, don't look him up T__T;

I need to upload moar AC icons >>;

because we clearly didn't have enough water before...

Tlist, I am visiting home for 4 days. I have two days left in a city where 1/4 of the population has been displaced because of a ridiculous flood. I got here in the evening on Saturday, and that night we were told that we would have to boil the water because they water treatment plant couldn't keep up with the amount of impurities in the water coming through. Not to mention that they had to dike the treatment plant to keep it from getting destroyed.

My aunt is staying with my mother too, because her house is right on the edge of the flood zone. She checks her house and went batty yesterday because she had 3 in of water in her basement. IN HER BASEMENT. Some people lost their entire houses and she wants a sump pump for her goddamn house cuz she cant wait. Today, while my mother and I were at the mall just trying to distract ourselves and chill, she calls freaking out about a 'break' while my mother tries to figure out if she means a dike broke or what. After hanging up, another girl in the store calls her family to find out there's been a massive water main break and we're not supposed to use water at all now. My aunt said she was getting water, but from the way she was saying it, we think she's going to go put it in her house and hoard it T__T;

The flood itself is nowhere near my home, because my parents live on the southern hill overlooking the valley. It's going to be fun getting back to the airport which is on the northern hill :D In any case, we're being totally calm because, I mean, what the hell else are you supposed to do? Freaking out seems like a waste of energy.

If any of you want to donate money, like I said, 1/4 of my city is destroyed/displaced and many smaller cities along the river are flooded as well. Donate to the Mid-Dakota chapter of the Red Cross if you would like :)

I took photos from south hill, above one of the main high schools, which is the base of operations for the National Guard.

A rambling report of the JYJ Concert in Vancouver

So I'm not particularly sure what to say about the JYJ concert besides we had a LOT of fun. I guess I'll just type what I remember :)

FIRST OF ALL: CHANT. Chant like today is the rapture and you won't see them again. We kept chanting JYJ in excitement and I think that really pumped us up and them. Right before the lights went down, even between songs, and for the encores.

There was actually a pretty big line outside when we got there, and I had made uchiwa gifts for them so Tabs and I were carrying boxes, hoping they'd have a gift table. When we got up to the gate, they told us to give the boxes to the security at a table nearby and I was relieved they were actually taking gifts XD; They didn't even check our bags so I'm annoyed I took my bottle out for them to check.

Once inside, we found our seats (4th row! on the left) and squealed. Found a pic someone took that we were in, so those are our seats. Concert started half an hour late, of course. Was hoping for more engrish but since it was the first stop, I think they were really nervous. That and the venue was only like half full :/ They seemed really sad when they came out, but after like 2 or 3 songs, they noticed how totally into it we were, and the majority of the crowd had lightsticks and everything, so the energy went up and Yoochun was all smiles.

Most of the time, Junsu was on our side, Jaejoong was in the middle, and Yoochun was on the far side. We're pretty damn sure they saw our fans and that Junsu looked at us. I'm hoping he recognized mine from last time :) I was tall so yeah 8D The banner thing went REALLY WELL during Chajatta. They looked so touched when they saw so many of us holding them and yelling 'saranghae' during the chorus :)

I honestly wasn't looking forward to the solo songs, because listening to Jaejoong and Yoochun pine through song made me snort and skip the song, but the performances were actually pretty good. Yoochun's voice was great, though I still snickered during his, mostly because he was totally feeling up the female dancers and I couldn't help it. He had that 'yeah baby' face on and LOL XD Junsu's solo was really beautiful and impressed me, so maybe I'll listen to I Can Soar more >>; And during Jaejoong's solo, I took the camera from tabs and took pictures while resting my arm on her shoulder to steady the camera. I ignored the lyrics and focused on him and his voice. His vocals were also amazing :)

Let's see... Micky pronounced Pierrot as PYRO (snort), and OMG the Be My Girl remix was SO FUN. Everyone was doing the parapara~, well in our section anyway! The opening for Mission was really cool! I don't want to spoil it~ I don't really know what else to say besides I loved watching them act like goofballs XD At the end they shot out streamers and a big GLOB landed on my head XD So we got a ton of them. Tabs counted and said there were 36ish XD They did an encore of two songs, after we chanted, and then when we cheered and chanted more after that, they came out and did In Heaven. Omg it was SO GORGEOUS. There needs to be a studio recording of this song asap.

Before the concert we ran into Japanese fans that lived in Vancouver and randomly made friends. We exchanged emails to share pics too :3 Also the girl sitting next to me had a huuuuge camera so I tried to say out of her shots >_>;

The concert was about 2 hours long, give or take since it started late, and I was really sad they didn't talk more. I guess they just don't have confidence in their English. It doesn't matter what they would have said, we would have cheered anyway xD Jaejoong said something really sweet at the end of the concert in Korean, something like this wouldn't have been possible without us? I think that's what someone posted earlier, I could be wrong though. But at the end of the concert, Junsu was trying not to cry, and I think Jaejoong was near to joining him.

I'll add things later if I remember, but the pictures probably won't be up til we get home. Depends on if we go out a lot more later or not ^^

it was a pretty damn good birthday

So I finished EONA )

I still have yet to finish ...wtf is it called (had to rummage through my pile), Blood Ninja, by Nick Lake. It seemed rather promising, but halfway through the novel, and yes, I'm going to vaguely spoil it for you, the main character realizes how important something he's carrying is, and not 1 page later, he fucking DROPS IT. HE LOSES THE MOST IMPORTANT ITEM IN THE STORY THAT HE'S JUST HAD AN EPIPHANY ABOUT. I cannot even explain how incredibly frustrated I was when that happened. It was like a neon sign saying LOOK AT THIS PLOT DEVICE I JUST USED LOLOLOLOL. Once you have a moment where you realize this, don't you check if this item is on your person every 30, no, 10 seconds?!?! No, this idiot loses it and doesn't notice until they've been walking for an hour since he last checked it. I put the damn book down and haven't touched it since. I feel that I know its going to have a stupid ending. I feel like a jerk and a pessimist, but I was severely disappointed.

But! To my great pleasure I just today finished Will Grayson, will grayson by John Green and David Levithan. I was interested... )

Flist I have also finished AssCreed 2 and have moved on to Brotherhood. Was so jazzed to hear there was a new game in the works that 'supposedly' had new characters. I was hoping so bad for a Chinese assassin, since the graphic novel coming out will follow a Russian assassin, and the shrine had a Chinese assassin in it. But no, in November they're releasing another one called Revelations (I SEE WHAT YOU DID THERE UBISOFT) with older Ezio. Not that I don't like Ezio, who has a boyish charm, but we didn't really need to see more of him. Whatever, I can live with it. Might even play 2 again because it's so fun :3 I don't think I'll even bother finishing the first on my own. I went and watched the rest on Youtube, because the gameplay was just kind repetitive and kinda sucked without being able to kill from a haybale >_>;

For the day, I spent the morning being lazy, did yoga and got dressed. The afternoon saw me trying to get my free stuff at Sephora but they were busy so I gave up and hung out in the yogurt place a block away from the mall and read Will Grayson, will grayson. I then hopped a bus into Seattle and chilled at my favorite coffee shop at Pike Place Market and read more there. I was wearing my cute sundress and hat, and the old barista guy told me I had a wonderful fashion sense :3 It made me feel fabulous XD It was a pretty nice day, so I shall keep it~

i think you can in europe

I don't post often enough, so here's something new :D I've read a few books lately and I should probably say something about them.

Tortall and Other Lands by Tamora Pierce )

Paper Towns by John Green )

EONA by Alison Goodman )

As far as games go, I was playing FFXIII but died during the very last boss, fight, so I guess I need to level some more? It just seems to tedious :/ Because after you 'win the game' so to speak, it opens up MORE of the Crystarium (leveling system) for you. This I don't really get, but whatever. I mean, why play more once I've beaten the game unless I want to collect everything? Which I do, mind you, but this seems really weird. God forbid I try to make the last boss fight easier by leveling to the max 9.9

I started playing Assassin's Creed (which I like to affectionately call AssCreed) after watching Hank play it. [info]chychaai linked me to his part talking about aqueducts and how important and useful they are XD I realized if a nerd like him can play it, so can I. AssCreed isn't really all bad. It's just getting repetitive and all I wanted was the storyline. I'm going to go find a playthrough online and watch that so I can get the ending.

At the moment, I'm playing AssCreed 2, and Leonardo really helps my nickname, if you catch my drift ;D Ezio is a brat, but its fun to run around in his body. There's more climbing and faceplanting from 60 feet in the air (which I do rather often because I suck at directions when jumping) but its so fun. My favorite parts are the viewpoints, glyphs and assassin tombs. Once I've done all of those in the area, I do the storyline. I don't really know how far I am, because I just finally ordered the guide, which I'm thinking I might not need, but I want to collect all the feathers and such (I think this is the first game I've played without a guide). I think I just finished sequence 6 and arrived in Venice. Just too fun guys. Random aside, I feel Ezio's body is much too built for a rogue/assassin character. I think they should have more slight and sinew musculature, not big and beefy, but that's just me.

My brother also let me borrow his Orange Box, so I might play with those games after I'm done with AssCreed 2, or I might go get Brotherhood, because I get to run around in Rome in that one. Also, I know what a PANTHEON is. And of course I get to climb the Colloseum :3 Hank hasn't finished Brotherhood so I could actually enjoy the ending if I manage to get it before he finishes the game >_> Doubtful though, since AssCreed 2 is so fun ^_^

AND watched a playthrough of Portal 2. Enjoyable :3
